Joel has a background in actuarial pension consulting – maintaining large defined benefit pension plans for corporate and public employee groups. Being more interested in supporting individuals in achieving their retirement and financial goals, however, Joel made the change over to the financial services Industry joining the team at IFS in 2017.

With his extensive experience in financial analysis, a keen interest in money management and a desire to work with clients to achieve their best financial outcomes, Joel is well positioned to provide outstanding advise and service to clients. His ability to take varying pieces of information and data and bring them together in a meaningful and cohesive way allows him to help make sense of financial situations that may seem overwhelming and stressful for clients as a whole.

Joel plans to leverage the knowledge gained as a pension consultant to help to provide both advise and service to existing and new clients of IFS – whether at the Group Benefit or Individual levels. Drawing on his varied background, Joel is able to relate to people from all walks of life and work together to set personal financial goals and find the best pathway to attain those goals.
